Postpartum Doula

Well hello there! My name is Stephanie, and I am so excited to be fulfilling my lifelong passion of helping families to transition into this new stage of life with compassion, healing, and growth.

As a single mother of 2 small children, I can fully understand the overwhelming love (and somewhat scary responsibility) that comes with having a new baby, and all the changes that brings both immediately and long term to the family unit.

I like to always start how I intend to go on, and starting with a loving support system that works with you to build YOUR vision of motherhood is how we will start.

When my first baby was born, I realized quickly that I had spent my entire pregancy planning all the material items I needed for the baby, as well as thinking about the birth, and almost no time planning for postpartum.When my second came along, I was more prepared for postpartum, but I was unprepared for my son’s NICU stay and my unexpected transition into single motherhood. And that’s the thing with life- it often does not go as planned!

I created this business to be the plan that DOES does work out- to be the rock you can count on when the unexpected occurs. Often, we underestimate the power of a hot meal, rest, a reassuring listening shoulder, a helpful hand, and a giver of helpful resources. However, under the sleep deprivation and anxiety that often overtake new motherhood, these needs are very often pushed aside. I would be honored to work alongside your family to create a postpartum plan that suits your needs and weather the bumps in the road together.

In 2022, I began the certification process through Doulas of North America (DONA) to become a certified postpartum doula, and officially completed my certification in spring of 2024. I am excited to bring the wealth of knowledge and experience I gained through my training and by working with familes “in the wild” to all my clients.
